Wednesday 7 August - Kanaris Theatre, Manchester Museum

Doors: 6pm

Film begins: 6:30pm (run time 109 minutes)

Building on our Wild exhibition, to open up debate and think more broadly about how we challenge the way we think about nature, Manchester Museum presents a screening of Lunana: A Yak In The Classroom.

As the first in a series of thought-provoking films guaranteed to whisk you away to wild places across the world, join us for this Oscar-nominated feel-good film which follows the journey of a young trainee teacher named Ugyen (played by Sherab Dorji). We join him on a life-changing journey to the remote mountain village of Lunana. With breath-taking views of the Bhutanese mountains, the film explores the importance of human connection and tradition in an otherwise hectic and technology-filled world.

Please note: we're expecting this event to be popular, please get in touch if you've booked a ticket but are unable to attend so we can reallocate your seats.
