This statuesque wall lettuce has been growing freely and elegantly, creeping up between the walls of Manchester Museum and Oxford Road pavement. It is a perennial wildflower related to dandelions and is also classified as a common weed in the UK.

Helena Lee is a photographic artist living in Manchester who celebrates the beauty and wonder of nature through her artwork. Her photos are taken during local nature walks or from her own garden. All of her products are made using environmentally sustainable materials.
