The worker bee became increasingly popular as a symbol for the city of Manchester throughout the Industrial Revolution. In 1842, the bee was first officially incorporated into the Manchester coat of arms. For many Mancunians, the worker bee represents both hard work and working together.

This simple battered brass bee necklace continues to be one of our most popular pieces from our jewellery collection.

Just Trade works in partnership with small fair-trade projects across the world. These projects offer life changing training, secure work opportunities and fairly paid employment for marginalised people.
