4:30pm - 9pm Wednesday 30 October 2024, Manchester Museum, M13 9PL

Share in the colour and vibrancy of Diwali during a full evening of celebrations at Manchester Museum.

Diwali is a festival of new beginnings and the triumph of good over evil, light over darkness and knowledge over ignorance, celebrated by millions of Hindus, Sikhs and Jains across the world.

Our celebrations are a chance for people of all ages and cultures to immerse themselves in the spirit of the festival.

It all starts at 4.30pm with fun, family activities across the Museum before the party starts as the sun begins to set and you’ll have a chance to enjoy dance performances and music. Last year, our Main Hall was transformed into a bouncing dancefloor so you won’t want to miss out!

The full programme will be confirmed soon and, on top of all the activities, you’ll be able to enjoy sweets from Lily’s Deli in the Welcome Area, while chai, mocktails, alcoholic drinks and South Asian snacks will be available from the Museum Café throughout.
