Stan, the Tyrannosaurus rex, is one of Manchester Museums most iconic residents. Discovered in South Dakota, USA, this terrifying predator is one of the museum’s most popular exhibits. Amid the Victorian architecture of the Fossils and Dinosaurs gallery, Stan the T. rex stands alongside fossilised plants and animals, including ammonites, a plesiosaur and a 300 million year old tree stump.

The T tile doesn’t simply show fossilised specimens in cases, it also reimagines how the prehistoric plants and animals might have looked when this prehistoric giant roamed the Earth around 68 million years ago.

Each Tile is designed in Manchester by The Sculpts. The tiles are screen printed and hand-rolled in Stoke-on-Trent, before being fired in Manchester-local kilns.

Material: Ceramic
Production: Screen printed
Size: 6in x 6in.
